…were the first words out of the mouth of one of the Doctors as he walked into our hospital room last week. “That’s one way to look at it.” I said to myself. In all honesty, that thought hadn’t really crossed my mind, I was just happy to have a new baby girl.
Perhaps, those words were echoing in my ear when I popped into the grocery store to pick up a few things or perhaps it was the lack of sleep clouding my judgement that caused me to reach for a bottle of Yellowtail Bubbles Sparling Rosé
Regardless of what caused me to grab this $9 bottle of bubbly, I couldn’t have been more pleased. This wine packs a ton of value into a 750ml bottle.

It was dry, but not overly so. Smooth and creamy with no bite and exhibited characteristics of other rosés, like strawberry notes.
On a side note, the bottle also had a resealabe closure, the first of its kind that I’ve seen.
While the closure makes it unsuitable for my sabrage practice, it actually did a respectable job of saving the bubbles the next day.
While I may open up something a little more special when my wife can actually partake, this may become a staple in our wine fridge, especially with the closure.
Hell, I may even drink it at my daughter’s wedding…..
